TRUTH.

Not as high profile as some others but comedy acting has had a poor year. Mitchell and Webb are good but they worked better on radio or live. Other than that there wasn't any competition. Extras and Lead balloon feel short of the mark compared to the previous work of Gervais and Dee. Not that I rated them highly anyway but some people seem to like them.

I agree, Extras has been a disappointment. I think Gervais/Merchant have soaked in too many American influences and come up with something that doesn't really work with the exception of improving their showbiz contacts.

Interesting that their next project is mooted to be something along the lines of U.S HBO dramas.
