In the 80s, most of the music that was played was 80s music... although there was some 50s/60s music on the stations that would now be exclusively 80s. Music from the 70s pretty much disappeared.

Now, 30 years on, the 80s are still hanging around... they just never went away.

If I didn't have to listen to 80s music every day on the bus, I would probably be much more relaxed about it... after all, there is quite a lot of music from the 80s that I do like and on the whole it's NOT the music played on those 80s stations I do have to take the odd exception out of my collection and burn it though.
