DerHasisttotsays..."Even though god is all-powerful, it is possible that it was not in his power to create a world containing moral good but no moral evil." LOL
"A world containing creatures which are significantly free (unprovable) and freely perform more good than evil actions (unprovable) is more valuable (to which standard?) ... than a world containing no free creatures at all"
This only works with omniscient creatures, as they otherwise do not know if they are free or not.
In this model it would be just as feasible that "God" is deterministically doing all the 'good vs. evil' - decisions for his creatures.
If God is all-loving, it cannot create evil or allow it to exist, not even by proxy. But as we have heard in the video, all-powerful doesn't mean that God is all-powerful.
Is it really that hard to let one of the all- Xful's just drop and go on from there? It's not like religion is short on the ability to just make stuff up.
hpqpjokingly says...So this, this, this, this and this, among many others, are all because God needs to allow for "freedom of the will"?
Wow, I'm convinced.
