So "police brutality" gets votes and discussion, but not something that shows another, sadder side of the job?

Of course--been saying some-such for awhile. In fact, we are having a discussion about just that in the Sift Talk, you should chime in if it matters.

I don't think the reason this vid isn't getting votes is because it is about a police officer being killed... I think it is rather that the video itself isn't very compelling. It's fairly long, clearly not professionally captured or edited and, while sad, not a very engrossing video. Sorry, I sympathize with what you're trying to do, but I can't upvote.

*sdgundamx is correct -- this vid is long, it is not professionally edited, the last half could be cut (there is a free thing on the interwebs called tubechop, if you are interested in using it, I can help you.)

And the first few minutes are real and heartbreaking. A person died, who was respected by his fellow co-workers. They lost a friend. And now they have to stand in front of a bunch of cameras, hours after his stupid and senseless death, and act like professionals and like Men.

It is the very fact that this hasn't been manipulated and edited into glossiness that makes this all the more important to see and to upvote.

This is the reality of the job of being a cop, for the vast majority of police officers.
