A very atmospheric scene from, IMO, the definitive TV adaptation of the Robin Hood myth: Robin of Sherwood, 1984-86.

are these supposedly guys in costumes or some monstrous representations of the characters?

They are guys in costumes, pretending to be the Hounds of Lucifer, terrorizing a small village. They take their orders from a group of nuns, secretly a coven of witches, looking for the Seven Swords of Wayland. Robin's sword Albion is one of them.

Moving this video to harry's personal queue. It failed to receive enough votes to get sifted up to the front page within 2 days.
