Ricky Gervais and Steve Carell's New Showdown

In this series Stephen and Ricky play casting agents. When Steve Carell isn't an eager beaver about doing some guest spots on The Office, Ricky fires off what he really thinks about him.

On a sidenote, it seems incredibly unsubtle, the bits where he realises SC is still listening in and I can only figure he meant it to be that lame!

each episode has one, maybe two good moments. easily the most disappointing tv show of the year. ricky has run out of ideas big time.

Oh. You know, I've seen one episode which I absolutely loved. The one where he goes on a date with that dwarf lady? I'm hoping I don't feel the same as you cos I was really looking forward to this!

So in this show, there's celebrity cameo appearances, allowing for Ricky to say things that make him appear like a bit of a dick?
Whaddaya mean he's run out of ideas?!?

I think that's how he enjoys writing the characters he plays and ultimately when he plays himself, like he's an egoistic bastard who likes the sound of his own voice. He even acts like that in interviews and a lot of people would be forgiven for thinking he really is an arrogant asshole. But when you really get him talking on a subject, you realise that he's a very philosophical, kind man And that's why I still love slightly shite clips like this, he's just pushing this false persona and seeing how long it takes people to bite!
