Richard Hammond becomes a human lightning rod

"Richard Hammond fires three quarters of a million volts from his fingertips to see how the power of lightning can cut a steel structure quickly and accurately." - YT

Shortly after this video was taken, some weird-looking small guy in a blue-and-red costume with web patterns all over it beat the living crap out of Richard Hammond. Then he swung away on a sticky rope that he apparently shot out of his wrist.

Mental downvote for narration. I really don't like this guy, this style of talking everything up, making it sound so daring and dangerous. Part of The Dumbening. The bits with electricity are neat, though.

750kv is still well short of actual lightning, as he also states he feels like "millions of amps" crawling over him. I can assure him if that was actually the case he would be not just burned to a crisp but instantly vapourized . Generously assuming they are accumulating from 240V @ 30A the resulting output is a nary thousandth of an amp.

Still, I envy being able to do something like that.

I am pretty sure he said "millions of ants" not "amps". The amount of electricity coming off his finger is still enough to kill a man, but it isn't pure lightning for sure.

I, too, am envious of that. I'd love to try that.
