Rare Bill Hicks interview from 1992

This was a part of a strand of programs about comedy called 'Funny Business' BBC2 put out in 1992. This particular episode was called 'A Question Of Taste'

ROFL, I love how the female reporter is quite obviously getting frustrated, though she's interviewing HIM, and HIS beliefs, not asking her for her opinions on the matter.

That closing line nearly made me crap my pants, though: [Hicks pauses, looks frustrated and turns to female reporter] "Can I recommend some jugglers you might like?"

we don't go on about freedom of speech in britain, it's just there. i think that's one of the reasons the female reporter doesn't get it. i get the impression these two people are something to do with his show getting put on british tv (?)..

These to interviewers are why comedy pretty much died in the 90s. Everybody was worried about offending somebody. Bill Hicks was a revolutionary...not in the fact that he did edgy satire, but how he did what he did during the time that he did it. Since then plenty have taken the reins and done that style of comedy, but these days, it's a fairly common comedy style.
