I guess famous movie characters want to impress their followers on Instagram too.

They weren't really taking selfies.

Someone did some video editing to existing film that originally included no selfie.

Think about it; in some of those films cell phones didn't even exist yet. If you need more proof than that, there's something wrong with you.

Next you're going to tell me that Neo was not the savior of humanity who could stop bullets with his mind, but in fact was played by some actor wearing expensive sunglasses. Think about it: they don't even HAVE a sun in The Matrix, so why would there be sunglasses? That's crazy talk, Marge.
