Light as a feather, rubber-band powered airplanes

These model planes are made so light that a single winding of an ordinary rubber band can keep them aloft for up to 30 minutes. They move so slowly and gracefully. Fun to watch.

I've heard of these planes before, but never seen one. Thanks, KP! They are really beautiful.

Maybe when I retire I will get into this sport!

I can't believe how light those are!
I've flown planes made wholly of balsa wood, and I couldn't imagine them flying for any longer than 30 seconds, let alone 30 minutes.
