LA Noire - Debut trailer of the new Rockstar game

"eveloped by Team Bondi in conjunction with Rockstar, L.A. Noire is a dark and violent detective thriller set against the backdrop of Los Angeles in the post-war years of the late 1940s, the most corrupt and violent period in the city’s history.

Based on some truly groundbreaking technology, the game goes beyond traditional performance capture methods to render the subtleties and nuances of every actor’s facial expressions and emotions. L.A. Noire is the first game to really explore what it means to be a detective, and offers players the opportunity to solve crimes blending classic action, investigation and interrogation, in the endless pursuit of what’s right.

The debut trailer shows off the character animations to great effect and we’re particularly enjoying the dramatic sound effects. Expect L.A Noire in Spring 2011 following on from the huge success of this year’s Red Dead Redemption. It’s already looking like Rockstar have another big year ahead, and that’s before a fifth Grand Theft Auto has even been announced." - The Independent

Haha I went for a job interview at Team Bondi and they were making this game, that was SIX years ago so the game has probably been in development for seven years!

Also did anyone else think the guy at the end who says "we're done for now" sounds just like (or is in fact) Bill Maher?

I'm gonna take a guess and say it's Aaron Staton who's currently in Mad Men. It looks like the modelling and mocap are also based on the actors as I recognised quite a few there.

QFT in a thick scottish accent
Sadly another good game I will/can not buy because I refuse to spend money on outdated technology (Consoles for those wondering)
But one can hope for the same marketing as GTA IV...
On a side note the faces look very good for a video game.
