Kary Mullis: Celebrating the scientific experiment

Awesome science/surfer "dude" talking about how science experiments has evolved + some interesting stuff on global warming... Good talk!

From ted.com:
Biochemist Kary Mullis talks about the basis of modern science: the experiment. Sharing tales from the 17th century and from his own backyard-rocketry days, Mullis celebrates the curiosity, inspiration and rigor of good science in all its forms.

One of my heros...
Read his book - "Dancing in the Mind Field"

He has an amazing mind. Reading his book helps you to see through the eyes of a very science minded individual as he talks about things that happens to him.

Sagemindsays...

Mullis has been designated a "Dissident" for speaking up against Glaxo (makers of the AZT drug for AIDS) and other big corporations - doesn't make him any less intelligent though, read the book, he talks about all of it.

That was a fantastic talk. The only problem I'll ever have with TED talks is that you can hear the saliva smacking around in the presenters mouths. I guess they have really nice, high-tech microphones.
