Glenn Beck on the End Game: The New World Order

Finally some one came out and said it.
volumptuoussays...

Glenn has a great way with completely mangling things to make his point.

At no point has either "China" or "France" suggested there should be one world currency. For Glenn to suggest as much (oh, conveniently leaving out any source or reference point) means he's either lying, or uninformed.

My guess is, both.

Because what he's talking about is the IMF forum from a few days ago, titled "One World, One Currency. Destination or Delusion?".

The forum was about pros and cons of such an issue, with economists from Columbia, Berkeley, and elsewhere. It was a "what if" forum, not some illuminati gathering of evil, leftist overlords who are ready to create a new world order.

These were fucking professors, not politicians!

Glenn Beck, once again, a total douchebag with only one goal: lying through his teeth to rile people up.

@ volumptuous: Dude! You're WAY off. First of all, the link you provided was for a forum that was held 8 years ago, not a few days ago. Regardless, are we to believe that Politicians can't twist what the professors say about a New World Order? Is it not possible for a Professor to have an agenda? Just read what Professor Mundell says about currency and monetary policy:

"I think it is a wonderful idea to raise consciousness about the importance of a world currency and I have been an advocate for a long time of a world currency..." -Robert Mundell IMF Economic Forum -Wednesday, November 8, 2000

"Suppose we did have a single currency in the world...[that] covered the whole world but that each country was a sovereign country. ...What would be the upshot of it? Would that be a stable relationship? I think not. It wouldn't be stable..." -Robert Mundell IMF Economic Forum
-Wednesday, November 8, 2000

Sorry, but Glenn Beck is absolutely right about China and France and everything else he said.
Read these:

China: 'New world Currency'

French President Nicolas Sarkozy calls for a New World Order.

Forbes: 'Brave New World'

Russia: USA must have minimized role in NWO Economy.

The Western Nations vs. a New World Order

A Second Cold War? US vs Russia

I could go on, and on.

I agree that Beck likes to 'rile people up.' You think this is different than liberal anchors?

But the point your missing is that the Chinese report is bang on the money, why must other countries (who can look after their own affairs) suffer every time some moron on Wall St screws up? Or your regulatory system proves completely incapable?

America likes to dress itself up as world leaders, but any leader worth their salt gives a good example. Spiraling debt, imperialist aggression, condoning torture and war crimes, abridging the freedoms of it's own people...

I hate to Godwin, I think it's crass, but George Dubbya is Hitler without the mustache. So many of the same policies, largesses at the expense of the public. The target just changed (Muslim instead of Jew), but the message remains the same.

When the leader is incapable of leading, eventually he, or in this case it, is replaced by a better leader. Or, the leader leads all to ruin. Replacing the leader is the better of the two options.

^I'm missing the point? No, your issue is a non-issue: President Bush will no longer be a world leader come 2009.

You're right about the fact that other countries' economies need not suffer because of one man's mistake.

That's not what these other countries are arguing!!!!! China's economy is one of the most stable in the world right now despite what the US economy is doing. With that in mind, why would the official newspaper of the Communist Party in China be calling for the US to be forced into having less relevance? What could be their motive? It doesn't take a genius to figure it out.

...but that's not all. Why would a Muslim news organization be portraying Putin in a positive light when he speaks out against the US? Muslims? Praising Putin?????

Let's think about what's going on here.

We used to have a good, stable, strong global currency a few years ago.

It was called the US dollar.

Now, it's crumbling, and people are wanting to dump their reserves in favor of another one.

Which one should they pick? The Euro is the most likely choice, but from what I read the EU is expecting the value of the Euro to drop now too.

Now is a good time to talk about whether or not we should establish a global currency, since a lot of countries want to change the makeup of the currency reserves they have.

I take it Glenn and deedub are opposed. Personally, I don't have any particular aversion to the idea, though I'd go through any proposed plans to ditch the dollar with a fine-toothed comb, as would every economist in the world.

Personally, I don't see how global free trade doesn't lead inevitably to global trade regulation, global courts, global banks, and eventually a global legislature and executive.

I think much is made about the use of the phrase "new world order", as if the three words are capitalized, and refer to a specific, secret plan that all nations' leaders are working towards.

To that I say hogwash.

Big businesses have big sway in this free-market world though. If they all agree it's a good idea, nothing you or I say will stop it.
