Fittingly, he was fired from the American Enterprise Institute for calling health care the Republican's waterloo.

^ His firing may have also had something to do with him pointing out that many of the health care ideas currently opposed by the right were originally proposed by conservatives.

I was surprised to find out that David Frum is originally Canadian and is the son of the late CBC journalist Barbara Frum. He even volunteered as a New Democratic Party campaigner when he was 14!
