Eh, when I was thinking about flying cars as a kid I didn't picture traditional propulsion. I mean that thing is way more realistic; it has an engine that pushes air down so that it can stay up.
But we were supposed to have cars like on the Jetsons.
I'm going to berate our modern engineers until they find a new form of propulsion.

Moeller is a scam artist. He has been promising this "flying car" with in the "next 5 years" since the 1950's. Yet somehow, his invention has been pushed back an additional 5 years everytime he has lacked an actual product to sell to the public. But that hasn't stopped him from taking millions and millions of dollars from investors for most of his life (and of course living a very wealthy life). He was finally sued fairly recently for fraud.

It's almost like they said to themselves "you know, the typical car isn't enough of a death-machine...now if they could all fly...ah...that's what I'm talking about".
