KnivesOutsays...I'll stick to Excel
Praetorsays...As an long time EVE player I feel obligated to comment in and up-vote this video.
One of the great things about EVE is that they have consistently released two free expansions every year, not to mention completely re-write their graphics engine for free instead of just releasing EVE Online 2. If you ever wanted to play an MMO that will never die, this is probably as close as you are going to get. No other game wins "Game of the Year" awards almost a decade after it was released.
P.S. I just finished 3 hours of ratting...in a Sanctum...in a Carrier. Why? Because I can. (Sort of an inside joke)
NicoleBeesays...Oh god, it's starting to get tempting again. Someone stop me..
Croccydilesays...Even though I have never played this game, this is cool. I hear the difficulty, or rather how unforgiving the game can be, is up there with Battletoads NES.
mugwumpjsays...They just created a post-Locutus Jean-Luc.

Come back. Come back. To Mordor we will take you.

Here is a useful graph on the EVE's learning curve.
As for unforgiving, the first rule you learn in EVE is that you never, ever fly anything that you cannot afford to lose. When your ship explodes, it and most of it's equipment are gone forever. Anything that may have survived is picked up by whoever killed you. The second rule is that you always buy a new clone every time you die or you will begin losing experience. EVE is different in that regard because experience is time-based, not activity based. So if you die without a clone, you might lose a day, a week, or a month's worth of training time.
Sound like your cup of tea?
GDGDsays...Also, game-time cards can be bought in game with in-game money!
All legit and okay with the company running it, CCP.
Fantomassays...Unfortunately I can't promote other people's sifts yet. or I'd promote this. Awesome stuff!
