Good lord, were they TRYING to make it as disturbing as possible?

I don't get all the xenophobic reactions and ludditism these kinds of robots seem to bring out. Same thing with the uncanny valley... Just don't get it, nothing uncanny or creepy about androids at all to me.

I'm sure this is a dupe, but I can't find it at all...
