The scary thing about this kind of thing is that it could cut us off from space. The more this kind of thing happens the more pieces of metal there are flying around at a zillion miles per hour that will destroy other satellites making more zillion mph pieces of metal until you just have no way to have satellite communications, space stations etc because they won't last long.
