A close encounter with wild lions

robbersdog49says...

moonsammy, they were roaring. Lions do this to cement the bonds within the pride and to stake their claim on the teritory. The roars don't sound loud in this video, but they are and carry for miles over the plains. Any other lion within a few miles would be in no doubt about the strength of the pride from the roar.

All lions do this, it's very common behaviour.
