Ah, man, that made me tear up.

My youngest is now past that age, and I miss it even though it was such a miserable time.

Both my boys still have white noise going all night when they sleep. I worry (and feel certain) they won't be able to sleep without it for the rest of their lives because they have only ever slept with that sound.
