NAZI! NAZI! NAZI!

Republicans Are The Party Of Birthers, Baggers And Blowhards

Victim Blame - Rationalizing The Opposition To Healthcare

Winstonfield_Pennypacker says...

Also, WP, you've just illustrated that you haven't the foggiest what Keynes' economic ideas actually were. So yeah, I guess it would be too much to ask to learn to spell the name of Keynesian school of economics (which Obama's administration isn't about, anyway).

Any fool can say "yeah - you don't know what you're talking about". That isn't an argument. That's a cop out, and I dismiss such pithless verbosity as the vapid denial of a person who doesn't like the fact that their ideas have been accurately described. Please elicudate exactly how I misapplied the term by applying it to Obama. I can literally write pages and pages describing exactly how Obama is Keynesian. What reasoning do you have that he isn't? You're going to have a tough row to hoe because you are simply mistaken. From wiki...

Keynesian economics advocates a mixed economy—predominantly private sector, but with a large role of government and public sector... Keynesian economics has provided the theoretical underpinning for the plans of President Barack Obama, Prime Minister Gordon Brown and other global leaders to rescue the world economy.

Furthermore, your "you either support our big @$$ government solution or you are an evil bastard" mentality that neolibs put forward is such a bold-faced hypocritical lie and distortion of current events and 8-year-old history that I'm left wondering whether you're a relative to the Cheney family.

See - you follow the same school of debate that typical neolibs do. "You disagree with me so you must be a relative of Cheney..." The entire Obama and Democrat position to date has been one where they ignore other points of view, belittle opposing positions, and demonize opponents. Standard Saul Alinsky stuff. I phrased the neolib position bluntly, but accurately. This video is a shining example of the tactic. They ignore the many other things Republicans do to address issues, and instead insult them as cruel, evil summbiches for not supporting the neolib big government solutions of massive federal spending programs.

I think you're mad not because I'm inaccurate. I think you're mad because I'm adacious enough to tell the truth accurately.

Brokaw: "This is completely out of control"

Winstonfield_Pennypacker says...

I'll use Saul Alinsky tactics for radicals here and describe what is really going on here in language that neolibs can understand and appreciate. Let's call this whole issue one of "Seperation of School and State"...

It is interesting to hear neolibs call political opposition to Obama out of control, unfair, racist, et al... Personally, I didn't care beans about Obama's speech. If Presidents want to do this kind of stuff, fine by me. But I understand and appreciate that there are others who are opposed to anything smacking of political favoritism in our schools.

In 1991, Bush Sr. made a speech in schools that wasn't much different than Obama's. The Democrats of the day conducted a congressional investigation on it. They didn't want him turning the school into a campaign commercial because that would be BAD. There was nothing in Bush's message that was worth of such paranoia. And yet they did it anyway because they opposed him and they were very strongly against even the APPEARANCE of Bush 'indoctrinating' the kids.

Now it's 2009. Lather rinse repeat. You would think that the Democrats who were so paranoid of the appearance of impropriety in 1991 would be a bit more supportive of the concerns of parents worried about the appearance of indoctrination... But no - of course - when THEIR guy is the one doing the indoctrination then they're all for it... :eyeroll:

So for you neolibs - just think of this as an issue of "Seperation of School and State" and you'll understand it a bit better. No matter how kooky, hypersensitive, or ridiculous the opposition may seem to you... You just have to accept that there are those who are very against the notion of the government stepping into schools for the purpose of 'establishing' a state party. Much the same way you are opposed to even the vaguest, most innocent appearance of religion in school might somehow offend people, or 'establish' a religion.

Voice Actors of Aqua Teen Hunger Force Revealed

mizila says...

I first saw Dana Snyder, the voice of Master Shake, on "Saul of the Mole Men," one of [adult swim]'s live action joints. And I remember it blowing my mind then. I hear him everywhere now. He's the Alchemist in "The Venture Bros.," Granny on "Squidbillies," and even some character named Gazpacho on "Chowder," one of the wacky shows for kids on Cartoon Network.

Little known fact: the voices of Meatwad and Err are also producers on ATHF.

Bill Maher Criticizes The Torah

Skeeve says...

I think this is a great video for a quick look at the difference between the Jewish/Israeli view of the bible and the Christian view.

Christians hate it when you bring up the Amalekites because it is an excellent sign that their god is a genocidal asshole. Saul, the Israelite king, was actually punished by god for not making sure to kill every last Amalekite and every one of their animals.

Jews, on the other hand, point to the Amalekites as a show of how powerful their god is and what he does to their enemies.

Either way, religion is fucked.

Lewis Black Destroys GOP Talking Points on Health Care

Winstonfield_Pennypacker says...

Don't claim to have all the answers. I am just saying that Obama's public option is not a good solution. Even IF his solution was valid (and all current evidence indicates it isn't) then it shouldn't be made law without a TON of testing. Why the rush to do it now now NOW? That's scaremongering.

Well, we all know why Obama is pushing so hard. His poll numbers are sinking like a rock and he wants to cram this into law before the August recess hits him like a ton of bricks. Obama knows that Congress is going to get a venom-filled earful on this issue over the break. Every poll proves that the people don't want to touch Obama's plan with a 10 foot pole. Congress is going to go into recess and be told by the people, "You vote for this and you're OUT pal!". Obama will lose tons of support, and his law is already on pretty shaky ground in the House and Senate. This is all about cramming his 'plan' through without review, without testing, and without consideration over the objections of the AMERICAN PEOPLE. What a jackass. This is all about Obama treating the United States like his own personal little doctrinal thesis on Saul Alinksy brand socialism.

That will only happen if we cut military spending and increase education spending and healthcare spending, so that people can have a real chance to get some real honest people elected.

So, you're saying that we don't have honest people in politics because we don't spend enough money on education and health care? Oooookaaaay...
Regardless, military spending is only about 30% of the federal budget. Over 60% of the federal budget is already spent on social entitlements. How much is 'enough'?

Hard work that Obama is trying to facilitate.

In what way is Obama's medical care plan 'facilitating hard work'?

Why is America not Hiring? (+ more economic analysis) (Lies Talk Post)

I feel for you, Bro. I briefly ran a small business out in Kommiefornia. The producers of wealth there are treated with utter contempt while the criminals and parasites are cuddled and rewarded. You can see the end result of all that liberalism: bankruptcy. California is the hood ornament on a juggernaut going over a cliff. No one on the left will admit what killed CA.

Obama doesn't give a fig about the American economy, his life is modeled on the tactics of sociopathic communist Saul Alinksy. It's an insult to narcissistic idealists who have no idea where wealth comes from to accuse Obama of being clueless about the economy. He knows the harm he's causing, but his concerns lie elsewhere.

Joe Biden represents the real soul of the taxocrat party. Take away Obama's honey-tongue and ass-kissing state-run media and you're left with the ideas and energy of Biden.

With no opposition, Obamunism will fail on its own. It's a rhino trying to walk on a giraffe's legs. The soviet union took 80 years to collapse. Let's hope Obamunism vanishes in 3 or less.

"EQUALITY OVER FREEDOM" RESULTS IN NEITHER.

Whenever I read a book, I skip the acknowledgements section, because a long list of names is pointless and boring unless your name is in the list.
Opening credits are annoying verbal diarrhea unless constructed in a novel way.
Put the credits at the end because almost no one cares enough to stay and watch the credits unless their name is in the list.

Often acknowledgments tell something about how the book idea came about so I often check them and then go into speed reading mode to check if I see familiar names, but they are showing a book is created with the help of many people, no just the author.

In case of films there are
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Opening_credits or
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Closing_credits
and this is a way to give indeed credit to them and give the viewer artist names for future reference. For the viewer the credits can be great, especially when there's a well-done title sequence:

Twats like you that get all supercillious over my opinion on something.

If i didn't trust my own opinion, whose opinion should i trust? Would you like to compile a list so that i can do some background reading and decide what my opinions really are?

Fuck slam poetry, fuck you. Mirror analogy and irony duly noted.

In reply to this comment by RhesusMonk:
I do not have the level of bullshit acceptance that Eric has cultivated. Pompous? Look in the fucking mirror, Holmes. Anyone who trusts his own opinion with authority is, by definition, pompous. Aloofness? Like, you mean they don't know that they're performing on a stage? Like, they're just talking to a friend? You watch Rives or Saul Williams and think, "That guy's pretending like he's just talking to me like his friend"? Dude, I get that you don't like poetry, but don't bullshit me with obviously fabricated, after-the-fact reasoning. What is it that you really don't like?
