Tron Dancers: America's Got Talent

jmd says...

Seems Americas got talent does not need to actually feature Americans. This is a Ukranian group who have been running international music award shows and Britons talent show. -_-

Japanese Grandma Jazz Drummer's dream comes true

dannym3141 says...

I'd just like to point out that a Grammy is a music award, and i avoided the video because i wasn't interested in watching an awarded drummer achieving their dream.

I can't be the only one to have done that. Title is misleading.

I wish I could find the skit where he played Sinatra on the "Sinead O'connor Music Awards" bit. I remember it was hilarious, Dana Carvey played McCartney, Alec Baldwin was Bono.

Michael Jackson and Janet Jackson - Scream

eric3579 says...

The music video for "Scream", directed by Mark Romanek and production designer Tom Foden, is one of Jackson's most critically acclaimed. In 1995, it gained 11 MTV Video Music Award Nominations — more than any other music video — and won "Best Dance Video", "Best Choreography", and "Best Art Direction". The song and its accompanying video are a response to the backlash Jackson received from the media after being accused of child molestation in 1993. A year later, it won a Grammy for Best Music Video, Short Form; shortly afterward Guinness World Records listed it as the most expensive music video ever made at a cost of $7 million. -Wikipedia

The Sifties!!! (Sift Talk Post)

kronosposeidon says...

Okay, this is my last comment on this for now, but one more reason why VideoSift should definitely do this: Because sooner or later someone will, so it might as well be us who does it. The web community already has many other web awards, like for blogging (in many different blogging categories), advertising, shopping, etc. Web video is getting more popular by the minute, so I think it's only right that one of the web's leading video-aggregating sites right now do the job. And since VideoSift is vote-oriented it naturally fits our style.

MTV was only around a few years before they set themselves up as the industry standard by creating the Video Music Awards. This could be VideoSift's VMAs. Let's not miss the boat on this one.
