The length getter was already in place but was only working if the short iframe code was used instead of the old-fashioned Flash embed code. I've corrected that.

I just submitted a new video and it works. Thanks!
I did however notice that the length of the video is not automatically set when you validate the embed so I checked and it's also possible to get the duration of the video through the new api.

Do you have an example Vimdeo video to test on?
I noticed that Vimeo's api supports getting a thumbnail for their videos so shouldn't it be easy to automatically get the thumbnail like when we submit Youtube videos?
