Wow, you're submissions have really been rockin'!
Wow, you guys and gals really hate this one, don't ya? I don't take it personally, because I know this kind of thing pushes the boundaries of taste. However I don't think it's misogynistic or pro-violence. After the guy punches the girl his shocked and horrified friends immediately come over to pull him off her. Not exactly a ringing endorsement of his behavior, right?
I laughed when I first saw this because I was completely surprised by the punch. That's where I saw the humor, NOT because he was hitting a girl who rejected him. Plus Mentos commercials were so wholesomely corny to start with that a punch in the face was absolutely the last thing I expected. Again, it was the surprise that made me giggle, not the violent retribution itself.
Having said all that I can see how some would find this offensive or just plain stupid. I'm sorry if it has offended anyone, because I'm not a misogynist, nor am I a violent person in any way. Maybe I should have let it die instead of requeuing it. Oh well, comedy is always at least a little risky anyway. Safe comedy is just boring, n'est-ce pas?

Agreed, Krupo, there's nothing redeeming bout that at all.
I'm on a downvote vendetta against this vid (hence a public profile message) - I'm not even finding a parody of abuse of women funny and am sending pms around - http://www.videosift.com/video/Mentos-The-Freshmaker-and-no-Diet-Coke ...
thanks for sifting the string theory vid! they make it so simple, and the narrator's accent is so goofy:)
Thank you so much! This is one of my personal favs, and I am happy you love it too!

Mink, you just voted down a comment you didn't like. Earlier you said "If a comment gets lots of downvotes, that makes me want to read it MORE, so perhaps you just wanted to call attention to it, not sure. You're using the new system, yet you seem so vehemently against it.
Isn't that a contradiction?
Thank you for removing this from the Terrible channel. I know it didn't belong there!

Here's a copy of your classic durex commercial sift, but without the music overdub. Don't know if you cared or not, but I think that was added by a fan.
