the Yes Men began with a couple of guys who wanted to play pranks to highlight the way people would simply accept any outlandish proposal so long as it was presented in a sincere business-like fashion. They later turned to "identity correction" when pranks such as this one failed to raise any eyebrows much less ire among the business community. http://www.theyesmen.org/

one of the reasons this may not get votes, is because it has been here before, or still is...can't find it though, and this is an excerpt that is not the same, so .....up-vote!

These flamers are funny as hell...instead of bitching, theys' itching, to make a spectacle of themselves, the core motivation being, some great performance art and a bit of media coverage....These guys come up with some great stunts, more folks shoul follow their lead, non-sequitur, is a reset buttin, that the world-at-large, sorely needs, to push the right combination, of wake-the-fuck-up buttons......

thanks choggie! whether or not it makes it to the sift, I don't care really, I was just astounded to think the Yes Men hadn't been through yet! But now I know they have, I don't mind if this dies... however, I did search with several searches before submitting and found a few yes men but not this one (or the ReBurger which I'd love to sift but no one has a copy of it up on the web anymore) so I thought I'd give it a try. I'm new, so hope I haven't done anything otre!
