gosh. wish everyone could just leave work early, when asked to do something important, that they didn't want to do.

today, the house called for a Contempt of Congress vote, against Harriet Miers and Josh Bolten.
John Boehner answers what he sees as grandstanding, by ... grandstanding, with a side order of 'national security' lipservice.

as expected, the House Minority Leader failed to make an impact, anyway. the measure passed, 223-32.

rather than getting the vote out of the way, losing it like they knew they would anyway, and getting on with what their constituents are paying them to do.

Are they seriously taking sides with Miers and Bolten, because those two are very clearly in the wrong here.
