A VBIED was seen before it could kill anyone. Thanks to EOD, it was taken care of with a pretty explosion

wow.. that rivaled many hollywood effects. What did the army use? I would have guessed they would have not gotten close to it and would have used a missile, tank, or rpg to detonate it.

they use a small robotic Arm toy, its in the goarmy ads. basically the idea to blow up a bomb, is use C4 to blow it up. makes no sense but at least it works.

Was most of that explosion the IED or the charge used to detonate it? That was a huge explosion. I don't think up-armor would make a bit of difference near that.
