I recognise that we are not slashdot, but as a Mac owner, I found this demo pretty impressive. I wouldn't have thought it possible to run XP that quickly in a Window on a mac. No need to buy a Windows machine ever again! ( : From the YouTube post:
Installed the Mac OS X beta from Parallels and demonstrated the speed of XP by reinstalling Firefox, surfing, and rebooting. Running on Intel iMac 2.0 Ghz (256 MB VRAM, 1.5 GB RAM, 512 MB given to XP)
chiminosays...Is this for real??? I'm a PC user considering switching to MAC....If this video is actually true it's given me more reasons to abandon the world of PCs.
fugitive_aliensays...Yeah it is true apple actually released a software called boot camp which lets you install and run xp aswell.
bamdrewsays...mmm, parallels...
yeah, if I find a bag of cash sometime in the near future I'll think about handing it over to Mac
