William S. Burroughs, author of the famous novel 'Naked Lunch,' lived anything but an ordinary life. He was a writer, a painter, and spoken word performer. He was openly gay WAY before it was acceptable. He was also a gun enthusiast. He accidentally killed his wife in a drunken game of William Tell. He was also an opiate addict. In fact he sold heroin for a while to support his habit. He might have been a wee bit crazy too.
