Xaxsays...No wonder I get such lousy service at Burger King.
rougysays...The working class is always paid just enough to go slowly into debt.
The debt is what's killing us.
It's like a rock we can never quite get out from under.
archchefsays...Don't work at burger king??
rottenseedsays...I don't get it. If the burger kings are franchises, how come the main corporation is being blamed for violations against labor laws? I mean, financially, I understand the burden that they must hold, but it's not up to Goldman Sachs to make Joe Schmo work an extra hour for no additional pay, that's up to the manager and ultimately, the franchise owner.
Furthermore, I don't understand what they're saying about a worker working longer than their shift being automatically owed time and a half. That is only applicable if the employee works more than 8 hours that shift/day or if they work more than 40 hours that week. I doubt many employees are getting those hours.
Sorry if it seems like I "missed the point" but I thought I'd just pose the thought...

I think that's missing the point, because BK is just one of hundreds of big businesses that operate under the same system, i.e. screw your labor force every chance you get because there's nothing they can do about it anyway.
If labor was unionized, however, then they'd have a chance to push back.
Trancecoachsays...Well the work conditions might suck, but at least the food is *terrible.
BTW, guess who was the winning CEO at Goldman Sachs, reaping the benefits of this calamity until 2007?
Our very own Hank Paulson!
siftbotsays...Adding video to channels (Terrible) - requested by Trancecoach.

pffffft...labor unions for unskilled labor? That's effing retarded HAHAHA! Labor unions only work if the members have a knowledge or skill that can't be replaced by somebody right off the streets. BK, anybody can do it...
