bnsasays...Update: I originally thought the chant originated by a group called The Time Lords in their 1988 song "Doctor'n the Tardis" - Turns out, it goes back further than that. See Below! :-)
digitalbombdogsays...Doctorin' The Tardis is a spoof on the 1972 song "Rock and Roll, Part 2" by Gary Glitter, which is the song that stadiums actually use. Apparently, sports arenas in the UK no longer play the song after Glitter's arrest and conviction for owning child pornography.
bnsasays...Wow... I did not know that! Thanks!
sl666says...The timelords went on to become the KLF, the JAMMS, Y2K plant hire and a bunch of others briefly..
therealblankmansays...One more piece of useless trivia to add; KLF stands for kopyright liberation front, so feel free to download all of their MP3s.
I have this as a 12" single, same car on the cover, but I'd never seen the Video. Thanks for the post!
I'm gonna go off and try and find a link to "Justified and Ancient" now.
therealblankmansays...Found it! And now, ladies and gentlemen, one of the oddest videos in history, I bring you the KLF and the Justified Ancients of Mumu, with special guest Tammy Wynette... http://www.videosift.com/story.php?id=8768
skfortysays...Speaking of KLF, "the white room" Mid 90's, that cd didnt leave my boombox with dual cassette decks.
