What's does being shipped sound like? A student at the Royal College of Art in London shoved a dictaphone inside a parcel and sent it off to Helsinki to find out. Here, charmingly animated, is what it heard. [Motherboard.tv]

Seriously, how long to those reel to reel tapes last? It seems a little suss to me, hard to believe it would last the whole way, and also not get knocked into not working along the way.

Now a digital voice recorder, solid state, I could believe... but I smell something a little fishy here!

Dictaphones are noise activated, so long episodes of no change would not use up tape.
