Nice disclaimer at the start
"If you're not a gullible conspiracy theorist, please don't watch this so you won't be able to debunk it to others later!". Scientologists do the same thing, not allowing lower-level members or outsiders to hear about Xenu until they're deep in.

I'm still at the matrix bit, however. I just felt like commenting on this cheap tactic

I don't think that quite works as a comparison, but I see what you're getting at.

uh... documentary? No. Financed propatainment on behalf of the John Birch Society v2.0? Yes.

Endall, do me a favor... define power. The term is used frequently within the film, without satisfactory explanation of how exactly it is being used. I was wondering if you could help me out.

I didn't say 'documentary', I said '"documentary"' bmacs, the "" implies a certain sarcasm about the way in which it's defined.

EndAll: They don't have anything to SAY for the first few minutes. If there's nothing worth saying then how come you have over an hour of video. If you want to say something be honest and say it up front, don't hide behind a popular movie to try to sell something vague and try to suck people in. Tell us your thesis so that the rest of the film can build on that. You can tell by the manipulative way in which they use the Matrix footage that it's a deeply flawed movie, I don't need to go any further.

Very nice, one of the most complete summaries on the subject i've seen.

The Matrix was a perfect intro for the subject matter, itself being an analogy (er, or is that a mataphor?) for what's going on at this point in human history.

The part on the education system resonated with me, i've always thought it bizzarre that parents willingly and blindly send their 5-6 year old children off to total strangers for hours each day, that they are forced to do so under penalty of law, and that no one simply says "No. I'm not going to do that."
