First Race of the season in the 1926 Morgan Aero with the VSCC at Cadwell Park. After completing Practice / Qualifying in the morning, and finding myself on the first row of the grid Right along side the very fast Ben Maeers in the Parker GN, I managed to get away reasonably well at the start - only loosing a few places (which is always a downside to only having one rear wheel!). Within a couple of laps or so I had regained my second place, only to find myself with the combination of a failed fuel air pressure gauge and an intermittently stuck open throttle on one bank of the engine! With methanol leaking out of the gauge on to my leg along with my fuel pressure, whilst driving on the ignition when the throttle decided to stick open and frantically pumping air pressure when I could, I managed to bring the car home in second place.-Sanford Andrews
