Ah, demoscene. Dig it.
One of my favorites is Farbrausch's "debris". It was sifted a while back, but there's an HD encode available here.

I wan't really that impressed with this demo until the red "notes" started appearing... then my mind was blown...

My favourite is still http://videosift.com/video/Elevated-Procedural-realtime-terrain-demo though.
