kymbossays...Ooh, this is a wicked book, and it looks like a faithful adaptation. With a Nick Cave soundtrack, and with Guy Pearce!
Can't wait.
EDDsays...*commercial
*future
siftbotsays...Adding video to channels (Commercial, Future) - requested by EDD.
Stalkersays...Hi.
This trailer is not very good, far from the extraordinary novel of McCarthy !

Regards.
Ornthoronsays...OMG, that bad guy is played by Garret Dillahunt, who played two different roles in the brilliant HBO series "Deadwood", both of them of the coolest ever created! I really need to see this movie!
siftbotsays...Moving this video to Sarzy's personal queue. It failed to receive enough votes to get sifted up to the front page within 2 days.
Sarzysays...Wow... never thought I'd have to *beg for this one.
siftbotsays...Sending this video to Beggar's Canyon to plea for a little attention - beg requested by original submitter Sarzy.
griefer_queafersays...I am so disappointed. I though Hillcoat would be faithful and make something at least a little subtle. I bet the delays came from him fighting the studio. It looks like a butchering.
Ryjkyjsays...Just read the book based on the trailer looking so cool.
Have to agree that it looks like they're going the butcher route. The sets, bad guys, etc don't look nearly dirty enough to reflect the absolute colorless, ash covered, grey and black world that the book portrayed. The implied nuclear war from the book looks like it's going to be turned into some bullshit environmental scare crisis (enough with this shit already hollywood). And having read the book just yesterday, I can say that half of the dialog from this trailer is not in the book. Especially the cheesy: "it's like it used to be when the sun came out" line.
I'm still going to go see it but I suggest that if you are interested, you read the book before the movie gives you any preconceptions. It's a really good book.
On a positive note: Was that MotherF^#!%ing Omar Little holding the knife at the end there!?!? Badass.
siftbotsays...The thumbnail image for this video has been updated - thumbnail added by vaporlock.
vaporlocksays...Just saw the film and like it. I can only say that if the book is much grayer than the film, they would have to do the film in black and white to be true to it. That was one dark movie. I have to read the book now.
