TheGenksays...30 seconds of footage and infromation stretched out to 3 minutes, <sarcasm>good job Discovery Channel</sarcasm>!
arghnesssays...Yes, it's incredible how little content there is in some of these programs. Still, while they don't quantify "a few weeks", it still seems like an amazing bit of engineering to get it done at short notice, and the problem seemed to be pilot error rather than mechanical, if the documentary is to be believed.
Paybacksays...I am SO getting that shit for my truck. I HATE traffic.

Reminds me of one of my favorite urban legends. http://www.darwinawards.com/darwin/darwin1995-04.html
paganif1says...Damn I would not want to be the pilot that funned that up.
quantumushroomsays...It's a winged metaphor for the Carter Administration! And the Obama one as well.
Morganthsays...Since it was just pilot/operator error it seems like it can still be plausible. Install a safety that doesn't let the brake rockets fire til the wheels touch. Done.

Somehow you always manage to turn the discussion to politics even with vids that have nothing to do with the subject. I don't know whether to be impressed or to pity your inability to think about anything else.
