The first 'hardest' sport climb.

The climb 'Action Direct' ushered in a level of difficulty that was far ahead of its time. Wolfgang Gullich established this line in 1991 and it was not repeated until 1995 by Alexnder Adler. The third ascent in he video is by Iker Pou (2000).

Gullich invented a training tool called the campus board to help him prepare his fingers for the stresses of the climb.

Hopefully this video will hold the interest of non-climbers.

Very impressive climbing. I could of done without the commentary though. I used to do a bunch of climbing a couple years ago but had to take some time off after a finger injury. Watching this video is really making me want to get back into it.

An extract showing just the climb up to and then the fall while clipping in the "Petzl Roctrip Millau 2004" video from around 3:30 on would be another good climbing video
