Some of them Turtles were probably 30-50 years old (guess), And he catches 300 per year. I wonder how many years it will take for nature to replenish and rebound from the impact of this one human being.
-His hobby is catching Turtles - for what...? Eating... ? They didn't say!

Adult snapping turtles have virtually no natural predators and are not even remotely endangered in terms of population because female snapping turtles can mate year round and drop clutches of up to 80 eggs at a time (which only take 9 weeks or so to hatch). Habitat loss is a much greater threat to them than some rednecks cooking them for dinner. And only captive ones live to 50+ years. Wild adult snapping turtles have life spans of around 30 years or so.
