The Roy Rogers Show

This early television classic was set at The Double R Ranch and featured "The King of the Cowboys" Roy, his "Smartest Horse in the Movies" Trigger, "The Queen of the West" Dale, her horse Buttermilk, their dog Bullet, and even Pat's jeep Nellybelle.

Now I'm not so old that I remember this when it first aired, but they did show it on Saturday mornings in the 60's.

My Daddy told me that Roy Rogers was actually 1/4 Choctaw, but that Hollywood didn't want that to get out. He then told me I was actually 1/4 Jewish, and that we might not want to let that out, either.

Anyway, I felt a bond with Roy, and I still love hearing Happy Trails.

Boy this guy is wooden!

I like the line "you'll either starve to death or hang yourself" - what ever happened to using your gun genius?
