This seems more like high school than actual office work. What do they do all day, really? My suspension of disbelief is challenged.

I think the show crosses over into an area where you are almost supposed to take it seriously - a much different take than the UK version.

dag, you'd be surprised how many offices *do* resemble high school. You really would be. At least in North America, anyway.
