Exactly why was this posted?

Why is anything posted. I've never seen this movie, but it doesn't seem as bad as people made this scene out to be.

i could go my whole life with out having to see it again, so i'm gonna pass on this.

This scene shouldn't be seen outside of the context of the movie. It's an excellent, but disturbing movie, and it's unlikely that anything like it would be made today. (It was made in 1972).

Just a comment, following up on Wepwawet: I've noticed many of the older clips we have here in VS would not be made made today, as our society swings back to a more repressive, less tolerant atmosphere.

I'm torn on this one -- I agree it should be seen in the context of the film. Yet, as film clips go, this is a well-known and easily identifiable moment in the movie, notorious for obvious reasons, and its made its mark in film history.

I cannot let it be, with the indignity of 0 votes.
