The Best Speech so far in the Barack Obama Campaign

From the Jefferson-Jackson dinner on November 10, 2007. Supposedly this is the turning point in his campaign.
dooglesays...

Still sounds like a manufactured speech. Even Bill Clinton spoke with more grandeur and Howard Dean spoke with more charisma at their rallies.

Interesting firm policy points - like support for health care and health care for all Americans. Oh yeah, and Health care.

But Barack, will you get US out of Iraq? What's your position on Iran?

I have less reason to support Ron Paul, but he gives a lot more meat to chew on than this corporate-speaking amateur.

BoneyDsays...

He stated in the speech that he would have American forces out within 16 months of his terms commencement, and I think he alluded that he would rather negotiate than sanction or attack Iran. Though I wonder who he was referring to when he spoke of meeting the nuclear dangers in the world. Pakistan? Israel?

Also I don't know if he's so much the corporate monkey, he kinda dissed them specifically here... As far as I know, he's not accepted funding from lobby groups.

antimattersays...

Manufactured and lame Hooha-quotes, too easy, try harder maybe, I don't know, maybe that's not it, I always feel like Obama is three feet from shinning somehow but gets frozen in the light or stiff or just lacks this...this um... authenticity that we might need for next pres ?
