Heaven forbid we want to deport any illegal immigrants. Fuuuuuck. I really don't understand what's so controversial about it. You break the law, you go to jail. You're not a citizen and you're here illegally? You get deported. what's the question here?

*promote. There's plenty of honest people trying to become a citizen legally that we don't need to go ahead and grant citizenship to those that are already here illegally and leeching off the system.

That's like someone stealing a Tv, getting caught, and being told to keep it- while there are others saving their money to purchase it the legal way. (Are you listening, Obama?)

This just in: Obama declares Mexicans nee dnot learn English, rather, Americans are ignant, and only speak one language-they need to learn Spanish.

Problem: The authorities won't do anything unless a crime has been committed.

Solution: Sprinkle some crack on 'em

In a perfect world, we'd be in the black and have a little nut set aside for these events. In reality, we're WAY in the red and we don't have the resources to take care of illegal immigrants in the numbers that they're coming over if we did have public health care to cover illegals. In my heart, I wish we could, but as long as the government has their head up their asses about where to allocate our hard-earned money, I don't see it possible. I don't know exactly how to obtain legal citizenship, but I can imagine it might be difficult to do while living in certain countries.

Ya, but we don't have nearly enough resources to deport them all either. The lesser of the two costs between rounding everyone up and deporting them (notice she said it cost nearly $30,000 to send one illegal back home) only to have them be back here by next week versus providing basically free health care is clearly just biting the bullet on the health care costs. The reason the Feds don't care when this hospital calls is that the immigration detention centers are already overflowing... and the taxpayers would wind up paying the medical costs anyways as basic human rights laws require the Feds to give them proper medical care while they're waiting for deportation (proper care which in many cases they can only get in a hospital, so the illegals end up right back at the hospital where they started).

Plus, the $1,000,000+ cases she's talking about are extremely rare. And the hospital would just as much be up sh*t-creek with an American citizen who didn't have health insurance or family. What she really needs to show for her argument to be convincing is some statistic that proves illegals are more likely to incur those huge fees than a citizen without health insurance (of which there are more than illegal immigrants with around 45 million or so: http://www.census.gov/Press-Release/www/releases/archives/income_wealth/005647.html).
