Where are all the upvotes from all the reclaimed minds here on the sift?

the irony of course is that we all are sifting OTHERS werks, however it's an important statement on Mckenna's part, I'm left with a big loss that he's gone kinda left a vacuum...

That really bothers me a lot of the time, that we are strictly prohibited from posting our own work, if we have any. I understand the reason for it, avoiding the youtubesque submission of silly crap. There was a siftoff or something a while ago which got some good subs. It seems a bit heretical to even bring up the fact that the sift sometimes feels like American Idol. On the other hand, It's a wonderful place for ideas, culture, art, music, cinema and all that, and the discussions around them turn you on to new ideas. Should we feel bad for going to the library if we're not writers, or to galleries if we're not painters?

I think Mckenna tells you how to fill that vacuum. Make something.

right. and then, if you do have your own work that you want available here? no problems with askin' a buddy, or even dag or lucky or whomever, and they'll post if they dig it.

says so right in the FAQ. it was one of the first things i wanted to check, once i actually started getting active around here, 2 months ago.

You're right, it does say that in the faq. Too bad I don't have anything. Two months to a gold? Jeez I'm craaaawlin'.
