Maybe she got skidmarks in the first ones and it was causing her performance to suffer.

I know how she can raise some money for charity...

she couldn't go to the change room?

I believe there is a rule that a player cannot leave the court until the game is over or an injury ends the game. not sure, but I've never seen a tennis player leave and come back before.
