Submission by Theo Van Gogh

10 minute short filmed and shown public Dutch television. It raised much controversy and the director was murdered in Amsterdam by a Muslim extremist a few months after it aired.

Van Gogh was killed for making this movie. Pinned to his body was a death threat to Ayaan Hirsi Ali. This didn't happen in the Middle East, this happened in the Netherlands.

What was once the most enlightened, open and accepting society in Europe is now infested with the dregs of the third world and their primitive minds. Because of this, in some European neighbourhoods, indigenous European women are nearly forced to wear a headscarf for fear of rape. Some choose to dye their blonde hair instead.

In all fairness, the Dutch do deserve credit as they are on the forefront of fighting the Islamicisation of Europe with brave individuals like Pim Fortuyn and Geert Wilders.

Who would ever guess that we'd revert back to a world where politicians could fear being killed in their own countries.

Upvote not for the quality of the short film, but for the courage it took to publicize.

Oh please give me a break.

The murder of Theo Van Gogh was terrible, but I am astounded how it's always extrapolated to mean that the Netherlands is full of Islamic fundamentalists. One man's action is then taken to mean all Moroccans of Islamic dissent are terrorists.

Your line about European women forced to wear head scarfs is such inane bullshit.

Geert Wilders wanted to reach Theo Van Gogh's status and put out Fitna, which no one here remembers because it was wildly ignored by the west and east.

I mean holy shit I live in the Middle East. Am not at all religious. Yet for some reason you make it seem like we are all here sharpening our swords just ivying for pink flesh and blood.

In the same way I could say there is mass murder of Muslims by Chrisitan warlods and their bombs. ROFLMAO.

Oh and Theo's movies really fucking sucked... he tried insulting everyone into quiet submission until unluckily he got the attention of some loony bastard.

Upvoted because I have wondered what it was that made the filmmaker slaughtered. It is biting but nowhere near ridiculous as Fitna (couldn't get through the first 10 seconds as it was such a dismal, propaganda piece).

I don't think the film "fucking sucked" though he should have refrained from using the word "Allah" countless times. Was Theo Muslim? If not, does that cast a disrespectful light on him for such an obvious induced connection of religion with rape?

I think the trouble with Islam in the West is that the majority seem to lie low while a minority of backwards Muslims want to emulate a minor bandit and warlord who lived 1,400 years ago. While this would be fine if they do it on their own lands, they keep up this nasty and divisive hobby in now-secular countries.

Perhaps if the frequently silent and complacent minority (in the Netherlands and elsewhere) would show some backbone and castigate their extremists, Muslims wouldn't get a bad rap. Instead, they're seen as alien, very touchy, violent and immutable in their steadfastness.

The exact same thing can be said about Jews and Christians.

The more I learn the more I realize that religion must die if humanity is going to make it in the future. Religion bring certainty into what really is an uncertain world. Bring arrogance in a world that demands humility. Brings ignorance to a world that needs knowledge.

It spreads like a virus of the mind and it is hard to tread because it creates a close-mind and intellectual laziness. It encourage violent in the name of peace. Invites intolerance to others by creating difference ideologies of ignorance.

Do as I say not as I do, is the religions dogma use to fool the masses. How people can be so blind? How easily people are wiling to give up control of their lives to others and accept not responsibility of their own actions.

Help stop the madness, before religion throw all of us into another dark age!
