TheeAliensays...Way to go BO! Answer the question you wish he had asked instead of the question he actually asked.
rougysays...I am ashamed that the most honest, logical, and beneficent answer would be the one that all of the PIG cons in this country would pounce upon and drum-beat for weeks to come.
Legalize prostitution?
Nooooo, let's let organized crime push the girls around instead.
Legalize marijuana?
Nooooo, let the most violent narcotics gangs in Mexico control 40% of the market.
America is a joke. It's a sad joke.
I keep hoping it will fix itself somehow, but I don't see why.
NetRunnersays...I do think he's got to start giving a slightly better answer on this question. He's done this a few times now where he just laughs off the question.
I suspect the real answer is "I can't even give lip service to the idea because it would create a fruitless political shitstorm", but my guess is he'd personally be fine with legalizing marijuana (only), and be against legalizing other drugs and prostitution.
I wish he'd at least pay lip service to the idea of legalizing marijuana though. It might channel the right-wing crazy onto a battle he could win pretty easily.
alizarinsays...That was a pretty broad statement - "legalize non-violent crime"
COriolanussays...Giving up on manufacturing is a self-fulfilling prophecy.
chilaxesays...Those policies would be far beyond the comfort zone of most voters at the national level, but trying them out at the state level seems much more practical and a concrete step forward. Nevada already has legalized prostitution. A number of states seem pretty open to legalized marijuana... California, Oregon, Washington, Hawaii?
