Starship Troopers 2 is probably one of the worst movies ... of about a 7 year period I think. And I only watched the first 15 minutes. I downloaded it and still felt cheated out of my money.
The first one is still great.
I remember reading about this one sometime last year... it sounded like it was going to be like nr 2.
Paul Verhoeven should be forced to do sci-fi. For the greater good.

Huh. Looks like they're taking it in a direction that arcs back closer to the book's storyline, if the few seconds flashing a mech is any indicator.

Really, though, I'd like to see the first Starship Troopers remade to be more like the book. CG these days is advanced enough to make it cost-effective. Instead of a skinny looking soldiers wielding wimpy assault rifles, we'd finally get to see a platoon of soldiers in hardened mech suits equipped with machine guns and tactical nukes.

It would be amazing.

i just saw this movie via intewarb piratebutting. Saw the first 10 minutes of it and puked my brains out.

Movie needs heavy consumption of alcohol and/or any other types of narcotics in order to enjoy it thoroughly.
