Star Wars Episode III: Anakin duels Obi-Wan.

The dialogue is cringe-worthy. The rest is pretty-but-ludicrous special effects. Obi-wan would have suffocated and spontaneously combusted on that little raft over the lava-river.

i really don't know what was going through Lucas' mind when he wrote the new trilogy. i mean, most of the hard core SW fans are now over 30 years old and he went and made another 3 movies even a 12-year old wouldn't find credible, even within the parameters of SW universe. stupid bastard ruined it all for me. and don't even get me started on Hayden Christensen as Annakin, worst acting on big screen ever. Evan and Natalie were the only good things in it. and Yoda with a lightsaber, of course.

I don't see why you guys are blaming an actor for a problem that lies squarely on the shoulders of a terrible script writer and a ham fisted directors that can't actually direct his own actors.

I think Lucas would have loved to have the whole series in CGI.

I think George Lucas could have done considerably worse with the new trilogy. All in all, I like them, even if many of the lines are terrible. Matt Damon as Anakin Skywalker would have been downright disastrous, in my opinion.

The thing I thought was missing from Episode Three was more Sidious action. More wizard-fights, and a proper showing of power versus Yoda.

I think Christensen was a pretty good actor. He acts just like a little arrogant powerful child would act. It seems cheesy, but it would just be that way.
Natalie Portman on the other hand was extremely bad. I actually facepalmed when I saw the scene were she falls off the transporter and then talks to the trooper... my god... even Lucas should have noticed that...

Episode 1 and 2 were alright. I kinda liked em. But 3 was absolute crap.

It's more of a commentary on the theater-going public that they would actually pay for this spoon-fed tripe. I am proud to say that, while I saw Return of the Jedi & the Empire Strikes Back and in theaters, I *still* haven't seen *any* of the first trilogy movies in their entirety. And I sure as heck didn't pay any money for them. It's amazing to me that such crap can be served-up to audiences and STILL make back their garish budgets within a year of their release. The public stupidity is truly astounding.

Astoundingly bad. So I have to *promote.

Didn't Red Letter Media make the point about Ob's line in a New Hope where he says something about Anakin being "a good friend"!? Or did I get that wrong?
